A note from our founders
May 25, 2026
We started Alyta because we believe social technology is one of the most powerful forces shaping human society — and that it deserves to be built with more care, more accountability, and a longer time horizon than the market alone allows.
The platforms that connect billions of people today were built to grow as fast as possible. That was a reasonable goal. But growth at all costs has produced outcomes that none of us intended: polarization, misinformation, addiction by design, and AI systems that optimize for engagement rather than human flourishing.
We think we can do better — not by rejecting the commercial model, but by structuring it differently from the start.
Alyta, Inc. is our product company. It will build social applications used by hundreds of millions of people. It will generate revenue. And it will be capped — meaning profits beyond a certain threshold flow back to the Alyta Foundation, not to shareholders.
The Alyta Foundation is a non-profit that holds permanent governance over Alyta, Inc. It sets the ethical requirements our products must meet. It funds independent research into the harms social technology can cause. And it ensures that no future investor, board change, or market pressure can override the mission.
This structure isn't new — it was pioneered by others who understood that some things are too important to be left entirely to the market. We are building on that tradition.
We are just getting started. The products aren't public yet. The team is small. But the foundation — both literally and figuratively — is in place.
We're glad you're here.
